Haaretz: Rush order for 30 new villages inside Green Line
In what may turn out to be the largest settlement
effort inside the Green Line in the last 25 years,
the Prime Minister's Office is planning to
establish some 30 new towns, most in the Negev and
the Galilee. The project, which will be given top
priority, is expected to be completed in the
shortest possible period.
According to the adviser to
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on
settlement, Uzi Kern, Sharon
reached the conclusion that
following the enormous
investment in settling the
territories, it is now
necessary to settle the Galilee
and the Negev.
