Israeli tanks shelled a town in the in the northern Gaza Strip early on Wednesday, killing three Palestinians and wounding 10 children in their houses, witnesses and medics said.

UNITED NATIONS – The United States on Tuesday vetoed an Arab-backed resolution that demanded an immediate end to military operations in the northern Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, saying the measure was "lopsided and unbalanced" and "absolves terrorists in the Middle East
"Every time a Resolution about Israel in brought before the Security Council the USA vetos against it with the same hypocrite phrases. Thanks to USA Israel is not condemned for the destruction of Gaza and the ongoing war crimes. The USA finds the resolution not balanced enough. Is it balanced to erase numerous homes, sending 2000 troups and 200 tanks into Gaza and killing 68 Palestinians in the last 6 Days as retalition for some homemade wannabe rockets fired into a illegal settlement by Hamas which killed two children? And still they ask "why do they hate us"."

Reuters: 'Israeli Troops Shot 13 Yr Old Palestinian Schoolgirl 20 Times'
Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Israeli soldiers shot dead a 13-year-old Palestinian schoolgirl in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday after she approached an army watchtower in a tense border zone, witnesses said.
An Israeli military source said the girl was shot inside a restricted area when soldiers suspected she had a bomb. Palestinian medics said she had been hit by 20 bullets.
