MSNBC: 3 American soldiers, 4 Iraqis killed

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Oct. 24 — Two U.S. soldiers were killed and four others were wounded Friday in a mortar attack on their base north of Baghdad, while another American died in a shootout in the northern city of Mosul, the U.S. military said. Separately, two children were killed and three adults were wounded in a grenade attack on a police station in the northern city of Mosul, police said.
